The Medal Ceremony was held on Friday 29th June 2012, special guests Mr David Whalley (Assistant Director of Learning Calderdale) presented the medals and Mrs Julie Bousfield (Ling Bob Chair of Governors) presented the certificates. The event opened with a flag parade, each of the flag bearers explained why their flag was in the parade. Mr Whalley related his memory of Bob Beaman breaking the Long Jump World Record, he jumped 8.9m in 1968 at the Olympic Games in Mexico. The ceremony was concluded by awarding Blue Ribbon medals to the fastest children at Ling Bob.
